Beyond academia, Mary Funke Oloyede is an Author. She is the author of “Living by Design in Your 20s,” a book written for young people navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of their twenties, offering guidance for living with purpose and intention during this pivotal decade.

As a teenager in college, one of my fantasies was being an adult. When I turned 18, I felt a sudden burst of excitement within me. Then I turned 20, and I realized my fantasy was based on a wrong perception. My twenties are one of the most crucial seasons of my life, and my lifestyle is equivalent to the degree of how intentional I am. I am responsible for my life. I was not going to play the blame game, so I decided to go the hard route. The route of taking responsibility. The route of “NO EXCUSES”. Slowly, I began to realize the need to move from fantasizing to intentionality, the need to face reality, embrace challenges, and intentionally work towards changing the things within my control.

You will figure it out,” Someone said to me, but he never told me. But what if life is not about trial and error? What if there is a design for thriving through these seasons? Over the past five years, I have seen the essence of perceiving life from a paradigm of how purpose yields predictable results. It does not mean I am perfect, but I have experienced and seen how purpose discovery can create a harmonious melody towards living my best life.

In this book, I talked about the discovery of purpose, showing up in your 20s, owning your narrative, living life without comparison, Finances, and Relationships. If you are in your 20s, this book is for you. If you have been feeling a surge of discomfort, this book is for you. If you are ready to transcend from a default to a design lifestyle, this book is for you.

Living by Design in your 20s is a personal guide towards transformative and intentional living. The book embeds some images, pictures, and notes at the back of the book for writing.
