Youth Engagement and Award
In June 2026, I was selected as a delegate to the World Bank Group Youth Summit in Washington, D.C., joining young leaders from around the world under the theme “FutureWorks: Designing Jobs for the Digital Age.” The experience connected me with global changemakers and deepened my perspective on digital-age employment, international development, and innovation.
As an educator, I was honored to receive the Maitland P. Simmons Memorial Award for New Teachers from the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA). This highly competitive national award recognizes K–12 teachers in their first five years in the classroom who have made outstanding contributions to science education. The award included a sponsored, fully paid trip to Anaheim, California, to attend the NSTA National Conference on Science Education.
